The holidays seem to be a time when everyone gathers together to celebrate the spirit of the season. It is not without coincidence that Christians also gather for special holidays, such as Easter and Christmas. It is also often at this time that Christians will get together for dates, or attend church services for a date.

Easter and Christmas, perhaps two of the most sacred holidays in the Christian faith, are often celebrated in grand style. Many Christian couples will attend church on these holy days, and congregate with other Christians to celebrate the Savior’s birth (Christmas) and His resurrection (Easter).  During both of these holidays, churches typically hold plays to reenact these scenes. The plays are often quite ornate, with many members of the church playing the characters in the play. A child that is a baby in the church congregation will often play the baby Jesus at Christmastime. The other members in the play will play the Wise Men, Mary and Joseph. Many couples like to attend these spiritual plays, as they are deemed as some of the holiest that can occur through out the year.  In some instances, the Christian couples may even play an important role in the play, as well as some of their friends.  Not all Christian couples may attend the plays at their church. Some churches are too small to hold a play, so many Christian couples will make a date at another local Christian church to witness their plays.

Easter is another time where church plays are also evident. Due to the inclement weather at Christmastime, there are many Easter activities with the church that will take place outdoors. Fun activities such as Easter egg hunts for the children, and possibly even holding Easter mass outside may take place. This is often a fun call for all of the Christian couples that are in attendance at this time, as there is much worship to be had.

Plays are not the only occurrences in a Christian church during the holidays. There are often potlucks and get-togethers, family bingo night,  and raffles that are held for door prizes with the funds going to the church, just to name a few. Christian couples are bound to have a wide array of fun when they attend church on such said holidays.  Not only can they partake in activities for their church with their partners, but they can be in attendance with other Christian couples as well.

Churches are often a great place for Christian couples to meet. Attending church at the holidays is no exception. With many new Christians attending the church for the first time during the holiday activities, it makes for a great time to meet new people. Sometimes, it is new members of the church that make for the best partners. With the holiday spirit in the air, and love all around, Christian couples are sure to have a great time attending church during such fun festivities.
